Last year, we announced that Chester-based designer Lucy Quartermaine had chosen to work with us here at Sheffield Assay Office. We were also delighted to re-introduce the Chester Town Mark which had become dormant since Chester Assay Office closed it’s doors in 1962.

The inaugural Award for promoting Hallmarking Awareness and Learning Online (HALO) was presented to the jubilant winners, Alex McMillan and Nathan Amery of jewellerybox.co.uk at a sell-out Benevolent Society Christmas Ball in Birmingham earlier this month.

Sheffield Assay Office was delighted to host the Striking Futures Event with the National Association of Jewellers on November 3rd. This is the first of it’s kind and aimed to bring together NAJ members and non members, students and staff from Sheffield Hallam University, as well as current and potential customers.
