Sheffield Assay Office and its Analytical Services division are delighted to celebrate an outstanding 40 years of continuous UKAS accreditation.

After consultation with the King's Assay Master, the four Assay Offices of the UK are pleased to announce that from Tuesday 20th of September the Platinum Jubilee Mark will be made available again.

Here at Sheffield Assay Office, we have put together a display of special items to commemorate and honour the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Some of the pieces date back to 1952 and showcase hallmarks from Her Majesty's coronation to her Platinum Jubilee.

As a mark of respect, Sheffield Assay Office will be closed on Monday 19th September 2022.

As a mark of respect, after the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, the Platinum Jubilee commemorative mark will now be withdrawn from use by the four Assay Offices of the United Kingdom.
