Video Showcase Launched by Analytical Services at Sheffield Assay Office

An outstanding new video short was launched today by Analytical Services at Sheffield Assay Office, who offer a full spectrum of analytical techniques to suit all chemical testing requirements.
The short film showcases the cutting edge technology and state of the art facilities in use by the UKAS accredited organisation, giving a brief insight into the the traditional methods and modern instrumentation used to ensure highly accurate identification and analysis of a wide range of precious metals.
Viewers are given a brief glimpse of traditional hot plate and modern microwave technologies, as well as ICP-OES and ICP-MS equipment used by the company's expert Senior Chemists, and other specialist, internationally validated analysis apparatus used to test a wide range of gases.

The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium.
