Sheffield Guardian, Kim Streets DL, Awarded MBE in New Year Honours List

We are absolutely thrilled to be able to offer our warmest congratulations to Sheffield Assay Office Guardian, Mrs Kim Streets DL on being awarded an MBE in the 2025 New Year Honours List.
A Deputy Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Kim has been Chief Executive Officer of Sheffield Museums since 2012, an independent charity that runs six of the city's leading museums and heritage sites.
Kim joined us as a Guardian in 2015 and is a Trustee of Art UK and of the J G Graves Charitable Trust. She is also an active member and supporter of various other organisations within the City of Sheffield, such as Sheffield Culture Consortium, Museums Association and Sheffield College.

The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Sheffield Assay Office is one of only four UK assay offices who all work to uphold the Hallmarking Act of 1973 and continue to ensure consumer protection for customers purchasing precious metals.
