Saying Farewell to Our Retiring Guardians
Published: 24th November 2022
The team here at Sheffield Assay Office would like to say thank you and farewell to Pam Liversidge and Chris Hudson, who are both retiring as members of our Executive Committee as well as The Guardians of the Standard of Wrought Plate.
Pam Liversidge was appointed as one of our 30 Guardians back in 2005, before becoming a member of the Executive Committee in 2010. To thank her for over 15 years of service, Pam was gifted a beautiful tea light holder, designed by Ashley Carson and created by Jen Ricketts. The beautiful piece features Pam's home, Sheffield's Guardians’ Hall and Cutlers’ Hall and is complete with the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee Hallmark.
Also retiring this year is Chris Hudson, who was appointed as a Guardian in 2012 and member of our Executive Committee in 2016. We were delighted to gift Chris a piece of oak panelling that was previously on display at Sheffield Assay Office's old premises on Portobello Street. Chris is going to install the piece in his head office at Chimo Holdings.
As well as saying goodbye to Pam and Chris, some further changes are also taking place within the Guardians as several new appointments have been made.
