Raising Funds for the Master Cutlers Challenge 2022
Published: 21st September 2022
Throughout September, Sheffield Assay Office staff have been raising funds for Cavendish Cancer Care by taking part in this year's Master Cutlers Challenge.
To help raise much needed funds for this worthwhile cause, our team have been selling artwork as well as holding a bake sale and Sheffield trivia and Sheffield Assay Office history quiz.
We were delighted to be joined by Kirstie White, Partnerships Manager from Cavendish Cancer Care for the bake sale. The events have proved how generous and kind people are to a worthwhile cause and that there are some amazing bakers and quizzers amongst our staff!
The final total has not been submitted to the Charity, but Sheffield Assay Office will keep you updated after the official event at the end of the month.

The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Sheffield Assay Office is one of only four UK assay offices who all work to uphold the Hallmarking Act of 1973 and continue to ensure consumer protection for customers purchasing precious metals.
