Updated and produced to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Sheffield Assay Office, this unique little pocket-sized reference book is of great value, providing you with the marks of origin on English, Scottish and Irish Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Palladium and on foreign imported silver and gold plate.

Incorporating His Majesty King Charles III coronation hallmark as well as updates on the amendments to the Hallmarking Act of 1973; it also includes details of further marks that appear on precious metals until 2028.

The National Association of Jewellers has been buying Bradbury’s Book of Hallmarks for our beginner JET students for many years. The Sheffield Assay Office was established in 1773, under an Act of Parliament and today the company assays and hallmarks the precious metals - silver, gold, platinum and palladium. Sheffield Assay Office is one of only four UK assay offices who all work to uphold the Hallmarking Act of 1973 and continue to ensure consumer protection for customers purchasing precious metals.
