Assay Master Pleads For Caution After Further Robberies
Published: 6th February 2023
Update: Tuesday 6th February
A further two robberies took place in Sheffield on the 6th February, targeting both Camelot and Carrs Silver.
A white Volvo was captured on CCTV and is believed to be linked to both robberies.
Sheffield Assay Master, Ashley Carson, is urging all workshops and shops within the Sheffield area to be hyper vigilant.
Statement from the Assay Master:
"Following the recent robbery at the Assay Office on 15th January, I am sure you are now aware of a second robbery that has taken place at one of our customer's workshops in Sheffield.
I would ask that you all remain extremely vigilant and to re-examine your own security systems and practices within your workshops and shops.
This is extremely concerning; we need to take nothing for granted.
I would also like to assure you that anything processed whilst in this office is extremely safe and no customer's goods were compromised during our robbery."
